Kōhi ("the App") is a coffee brewing journal for iOS. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you use Kōhi, we store the following data to provide the app's functionality:
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Each user's data is isolated under their unique user ID. No other user can access your data.
Kōhi uses AI services (Anthropic Claude and DeepSeek) to power features like bag scanning, recipe insights, and experiment suggestions. When you use these features:
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. This helps us fix bugs and improve stability. Crash reports contain device type, OS version, and stack traces — no personal data.
The app requests camera access for the bag scanner feature. Photos are processed on-device using Apple's Vision framework. No images are uploaded to any server.
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings within the app.
